I didn't even other to apply to U ofApr 06 2003Kinesiology
I didn't even other to apply to U of M coming out of high-school. I just simply didn't have credentials good enough to gain admission to their undergraduate program coming out.

I spend 2 years at the University of Michigan-Dearborn campus with a goal of coming to the Ann Arbor campus.

For high school students: I don't really have any advice for you, because I didn't apply to Michigan coming out of high school. But If I have to say anything, you must be a great student and you have to know it.

For prospective transfer students: You must do well in all your college courses. I myself had to try twice before I was accepted as a transfer. Above all else, believe in yourself because If a person with a 3.0 grade point and a 20-ACT score can transfer successfully, trust me you can as well.

I had a decent High School GPA and testFeb 03 2003Undecided
I had a decent High School GPA and test scores, as well as several extra- curricular activites. GPA is the most important factor in your application here, second being test scores. Essays are worst almost nothing, so don't stress over them... recylce some high-school English essay.

Michigan is getting harder and herder to get intoNov 26 2002Biology
Michigan is getting harder and herder to get into. You need good grades and great test scores, especially if you're from out of state. Worry about those most as opposed to extracurricular activities.

This is a very good university in almost every major fields. I think it's better to come to UM rather than Harvard, Columbia, Brown, Upen, if you want to do engineering, business, and etcs.
